We reviewed the synthesis, structure, and properties of pyridine complexes AgXO4 (X = Cl, Mn, Re) compounds with various compositions ([AgPy2] XO4, [AgPy2XO4]·0.5Py, [AgPy4] 4 [AgPy2XO4] XO4). also clarified controversial information about existence composition silver permanganate, used widely as mild selective oxidants in organic chemistry. discussed detail available structural spectroscopic (IR, Raman, UV) data thermal behavior, including consequence quasi-intramolecular reactions between reducing ligand anions containing oxygen.
